And basically i wanted to dedicate a post as to why every women needs a pair of these in her wardrobe. I simply had to, i have fallen in love with a pair of shoes, yup pretty crazy. I never usually care about whats on my feet because i’m a little basic. I’m sure you’re asking why are these shoes apparently so great?! Well carry on reading to find out more!

I’ve recently discovered that a good pair of shoes can surprisingly change an outfit completely. As i said, i’m a little basic. For me i usually wear my scruffy off white converse’s with practically any outfit. Guilty as charged. They’re comfy, practical and a classic. The other day i was getting ready as normal, just before i went out the door i put my shoes on. Tying up the laces i caught a quick glance in the mirror. I was wearing a snake print midi skirt, a black tight top and my black leather jacket. oh my god. Usually i think converse look great with this outfit, wearing black tights made me disagree dishonourably. They stood out like a sore thumb and made my legs feel kind of stumpy? Seeing as i’m nearly 6ft that was a first. I was shocked, for the first time ever i didn’t want to wear them. I took them off threw them in the cupboard and got out my ankle boots. That day i decided i need a change, something more smart and new. Not disgusting and worn out.

So the next day i popped into town to get a new pair of shoes, a decent pair. A pair my mother won’t frown upon in disgrace. She hates my converse’s with a passion. Trust me she has every reason. The amount of times she’s bleached them while i’m asleep in desperation to get them back to white, or at least close is craaaazy. I’m sorry mum!
When in Primark i stumbled across these ones. Honestly i thought, yeah they’re the ones. Not only are they flat, comfortable and practical for everyday, they’re smart and classy (and also cheap) My first thoughts were ‘ooh thats going straight in my basket’ (If you’ve not seen that video you won’t understand my strange humour)

There were two choices of colours first being this black colour and the second being a tan/brown colour. I could have easily bought both. They’re six pounds each and look gorgeous on. With the laces you can either tie them around your ankles or up your leg slightly for that gladiator look. They compliment your legs perfectly. Mum i hope i done you proud. Although my converse are staying in my life.

Okay, so answering the question, I think these flats are a wardrobe essential because they’re smart, perfect if you hate heels yet want to complete your outfit without loosing that elegant touch. They’re perfect for summer evenings and holidays and look great with a variety of outfits. I style with jeans. They’re also affordable, which for me is important. My motto is if it doesn’t make me look pretty or better then i’m not spending a fortune. Skimp on that shit! Not the greatest of motto’s but oh well, i roll with it.
