Vichy Derma Blend setting powder // New fave?

Hello you!

So today i’m bringing you a fabulous review on the Vichy Derma Blend setting powder, i feel like i’ve not done this is aaggeesss! I probably have but i have the memory of a fish. What was i saying? Ah just kidding!

When it comes to powders i can be really fussy. The one thing i hate most more than anything in the world is when you’ve set your foundation and it is thick and you can literally feel it. That kind of tight, drying feeling. Please tell me i’m not the only one who gets this?!

I always use a translucent powder when setting my makeup, my personal favourites are the Ben Nye banana powder and the Chanel loose powder. I decided i wanted to switch it up, try transparent powder. At the same time i wanted something that is going to be softer and thinner to reduce that thick, caky look i create pretty much most days.

Some makeup brands can cause me to break out like crazy and make my skin dry. I’ve heard a lot about Vichy Derma Blend and never really tried it. Through what i have read and heard, it’s supposed to be great for people with acne, dry skin, sensitive skin and covering scars. Whether this is the case i couldn’t possibly tell you. One thing i know is they do great foundation for full coverage. Something i totally need to invest in.

I was initially skeptical about the idea of white powder. That scary thought of looking like a   ghost or as if i’ve had a long day baking cakes and i’ve been attacked with flour.

I only wanted to use this product under my eyes and for ‘baking’. My first thoughts were that it was silky and finely milled. It literally looks like talc powder. It doesn’t feel thick and it doesn’t look caky. It does have a really good matte finish, and keeps my makeup relatively shine free all day. You don’t need a lot of this product, a little goes a long way.

When i bought this is bought the Real Techniques setting brush too because its small and fluffy. Perfect for under my eyes because i find that harder brushes leave patches where it takes my foundation off. Maybe i use too much but who cares!
Together these two products work perfectly!

I hope you enjoyed reading and if you was wondering what this powder was like, now want to try!

I love setting powders like this! At first I used just regular powder but I find white setting powders way less cakier dan others, and they keep my face a lot better matte than the other ones 🙂
