Hey my loves!
Todays post is a bit of a chit chat kind of style. I feel like I’ve been neglecting the blog a little recently but things have been hectic lately. The first thing I wanted to say is that I will be only posting once a week from now on. Sad times I know. I’m back at college now and to be perfectly honest with you, I just don’t have the time to fit everything in.
Anyway, on with todays post. I was sent some more goodies to review from Beauty UK a couple of days ago and I was wondering how I was gonna write my review and this I what a came up with, a chit chat on their new products. Over the last few months they have soon become one of the most used brands for me. I already own their pro contour palette, blusher, lip pencils and a couple of their lipsticks. My collection is growing loads thanks to them sending me goodies to post about. I think I’m due a purchase spree on their site soon. I seriously can’t get enough of them. Once I’ve purchased a few more things I’m thinking of doing a full face of makeup using only their brand. How amazing would that be?!
So today I’m talking about the Ultimate Contour Chubby Stick Set, the High Defintion Eyebrow Liners and the HD Define Duo Felt Tip Liner.
Ultimate Contour Chubby Stick Set
The first thing I wanted to talk about was the contour set. This was the thing I was most excited about because I’ve wanted them since they was released. They’re my most fave product of theirs by far. The set contains 4 chubbys sticks which are a medium contour, dark contour, beige highlight and a shimmer highlight. If you wanted you wouldn’t even have to apply foundation first. Some people do that I believe? Because obviously the beige highlight works like a foundation. They’re ideal. One thing I thought was great about them is how blendable they are. They’re not dry and sticky. My fave has to be the shimmer highlighter though, it’s crazy good.
High Defination Eyebrow Liners
I was given three shades of the brow liners which were light, medium and dark. When I first got them I was thinking I could only use the dark because I have dark brows but I was wrong when I found a use for the other two too. I stared of with the medium one to outline my brows, used the darker one to define them more and fill them in and I used the lightest one on the inner brow hairs to give that gradient look we all love so much. I’ve never used a felt liner for my brows before so it did take some getting used to. The first time I used them I was absolutely awful and my brows were just shocking but by the 3rd or 4th times I was getting better and it was a lot easier to use.
HD Define Duo Felt Eyeliner
Lastly was the Duo felt liner which was the one product I didn’t think I would use that much because I’m absolutely useless at liner. I have had a few attempts with this one and they’ve been okay surprisingly although I still wouldn’t say I’m very good at applying it. I need a whole lot more practise. I preferred the precise tip as opposed to the chunkier tip. I couldn’t get on with that one too well. I imagine if you have a more steady hand and more experience it would be fantastic for you. It would be fab for more arty liner which I will be doing at college so it will have a fab use then. Going back to the precise tip, it’s not too hard but not too soft, it’s the perfect texture for doing a winged liner look. The colour is a really deep black too, it doesn’t fade too quick either.
I hope you liked the look of these products as much as I do. They’re all available on the beauty uk store.
Please let me know what you think of these products and if you’ve ever tried this brand before. I’d love to know!
Have a fantastic day, A x
