The drugstore beauty product i’ve fallen in love with.

When it comes to contouring and highlighting i want it to be as simple as it possibly can be and entail no hassle whatsoever. I’m pretty lazy and messy with it, not going to lie.

I was in Superdrug a while back when i came across the Maybelline Master V Contour stick which recently came out. It’s basically like a 2 in 1. It has both highlight and contour on the same stick. I’ve seen it advertised on TV so many times and i’ve been fascinated about it and so needed to try for myself. I really questioned if it would work. Whether you’d end up highlighting when you’re actually trying to contour because the separate sides are so small. To my surprise it was actually super easy and anyone could do it. (Even me heh heh)

I think it’s like a cream to powder style because it felt a little dry on my skin, bearing in mind i have dry skin anyway.  This wasn’t really a major deal because it still looked good, felt good and i still really loved it. It’s becoming a new fave pretty quickly. There’s no greater feeling then thinking ugh i have to get out my brushes and my contour palette to.. oh wait i have a stick that does both. Perfecto!

I’ve been using it everyday, literally. It’s so quick and easy making it my perfect go to makeup item. It’s in my main makeup bag of products that i use everyday rather than on occasions, or when i have a lot more time to spare. It was hands down the best £6.99 i ever spent and i’m totally buying again. I think i use the contour side a lot more than the highlight side though, i always go in with their eye eraser concealer first then realise i don’t need to use the highlight side of this. But it’s not because i don’t like it, i simply forget haha! The contour part is by far my fave, it’s easy to blend and suits my skin tone really well. I think it comes in options light and medium. For me I use the shade light.

Whats your thoughts on this? Make sure to comment and let me know!

I saw this in Superdrug but was put off by it being one stick with half dark and half light 🙁 I ended up buying the Freedom Contour stick in Medium 01 for £5 (which I LOVE) ahaha might have to go back for this one!

I agree, since both collors are in one stick. I’d prefer two sticks. But this would be very handy to have in your purse or when you’re on vacation to save space.

Yeah, it’s defiantly not for everyone but does come in handy! x

The freedom one is a single stick but with one dark end and one light end, so it’s still ideal for a handbag or holiday! – K xo

I was so concerned about it not being precise enough but now I think I’ll give it a go! Great review!
