Soft Glam Makeup Tutorial

Hey my loves,

The other day i went out for a meal with family and decided to glam up a little but not too much, i didn’t wanna over do it and walk into a restaurant where everyones just in their casual attire enjoying a Sunday lunch. But because i hadn’t been out the house in a while i wanted an excuse to put on some makeup and feel good about myself. So because i’ve not done a makeup tutorial kind of post in a while, i took the opportunity to photograph it make the most of wearing makeup. I’ve been avoiding makeup lately because to be honest, i’ve been so lazy. Like yeah i look like a foot, but i have no energy to do anything about it. Meh.

P.s how attractive are my bra straps clearly not suited for this top?! *Laughs sarcastically*

So i started with a fresh, clean moisturised face. To begin with i primed using the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Primer. I went through a stage of not reaching for this but i’m loving it again lately. It really blurs out any imperfections for a really soft, fresh finish.

I then went in with my favourite foundation at the moment which is the Mac Studio Sculpt foundation. I applied using my new fave brushes i previously posted about. I’m using them everyday and ahh, i can’t get enough of them.

To conceal / highlight i used my holy grail concealer which is the Maybelline Eraser Eye. I la la loveeee this concealer. Seriously, i don’t reach for any other. It’s amazeballs. Again using the my makeup brush set i previously posted about.

To set my concealer, i baked my face using Talcon powder. Yeah you just read that right. I saw this tip on youtube and it works a treat. Because it’s white it’s really brightening. But you don’t end up looking like a ghost don’t worry.

To contour i used the ABH powder contour kit, using the middle shade. Re discovering my love for this palette was the best thing evs.

For highlight i used the Mary Lou-manizer by The Balm. Ugh i can’t rave about this enough. Highlight on fleek, every time.

Y’all know my eyebrow routine by now. ABH Dipbrow for the way. I love love love it, couldn’t even imagine using anything else. All that’s different is i used the Benefit Ready Set Brow Gel to set my brows in place. I love this product. You can see my review here.

For my eyeshadow i used the Sleek whimsical palette. To achieve this look i used the pink / rose shades on my crease out outer eyelid and the cream shade on my centre eyelid. I love the pigmentation of this palette, super fab. I then went in with my Benefit Bad Gal Lash mascara.

And lastly for my lips i used the NYX lingerie lipstick in the shade Push Up, my love for this lipstick will never die. I need to buy more shades ASAP. They don’t go dry and flaky and last ages.

And voila. That’s my makeup all done. I really enjoyed this look. Defiantly gonna wear it again! Make sure to let me know what you think too!

A x
