Simple, long lasting Summer Festival Makeup

Hey my love,

Summer is within our reach and the vibes are buzzing so today i thought i’d do a really simple, wearable, long lasting festival makeup look. This is something i would wear to a festival, beach party or anything where i’m gonna be in the sun, getting my groove on and wanting to look summery but not over the top with the makeup. That’s why it’s quite a simple look, for me personally if i’m gonna be out in the heat all day dancing and working up a sweat i don’t want my makeup to budge, i want it to last for hours on end. So i think i was to wear false lashes and eyeliner then it’s not gonna last very long and for me false lashes can be quite uncomfortable. But if you like full face makeup at festivals then keep on doing that gurl, everyones different right!

I’m also trying out some new products in this look so i will be letting you know what i think of those.

Eyes

Brows: I always use ABH Dipbrow Pomade for my brows, my brow routine hasn’t changed in quite a long time, apart from the fact i now carve them out with some concealer. I always set my brows with some clear brow gel. Today i used the Collection 2000 one.

Base: For my eyeshadow base today i just used concealer, which was the Maybelline Eraser Eye. I’ve been using this as a base for a week or two now, it covers up any discolouration because my eyes have darker patches for some reason. I think it makes my eyeshadow last longer too. It just works for me. I always go ahead and set that with a translucent powder. Today i used the Nars pressed powder.

Eyeshadow: I have been so excited about this eyeshadow palette it is actually unreal. I recently bought the Makeup Revolution ultra 32 Like Angels. It’s so gorgeous, the colours are shimmery pigmented shades ranging from lighter colours to bright vibrant shades. I’m really loving it and was kinda the reason i wanted to re create a festival look, hehe.

Mascara: I coated my lashes with the Seventeen Long Lash Mascara and that was basically my eyes done. I didn’t coat my under lashes because when the weathers really hot it always gives me panda eyes which really don’t look good on me.

Bindi: I bought this cute little bindi and gems from super drug, i think they were Lottie. They’re super cheap and really cute. But as one girl said on Facebook, make sure to wear SPF although you should anyway, because you’ll end up with white dots on your face. when you take them off.

Face

Primer: To prime my skin i used the Marc Jacobs Under(cover) primer because i just love it, it’s so hydrating and makes my foundation last so much better.

Foundation: For foundation i used the NO7 Instant Radiance Foundation in the shade Cool Vanilla. To apply i used my damp beauty blender. I actually put a couple drops of the Body Shop oils for life onto the sponge. I’m not even joking, it made my skin so soft.

Concealer: For my nightmarish under eyes i used the maybelline eraser eye concealer in the shade light, i’m so obsessed with this. it covers dark circles like a treat, perfecto!

Powder: I set my my using my beauty blender and the Nars pressed powder in Eden, because my skins been quite dry the damp beauty blender just adds that extra moisture.

Lips

Base: I used some vaseline for my lip base because it just makes applying lipstick so much easier.

Lipstick: Today i actually used a lipstick rather than a liquid lipstick which was a Primark one in the shade Coral. I’d never used it before so i wasn’t really too sure what to expect. I blotted my lips with powder to make the colour last a little longer. It’s been about 3 hours since i put it on and it’s beginning to fade, but no lipstick lasts long for me so i always take it with me to top up.

Thank you lovely, it’s a little thick when in the pot but feels lightweight if used sparingly, if that makes any sense haha! xo

They were a festival buy from super drug, i love them. I think they’re bright and vibrant!

Right, I’m not going to argue about it but I bought it in a shop specifically saying festival gems, so I used for a ‘festival’ look. If that’s something that bothers you then please tell your feeling to the company who produce them for that basis not me. It’s Lottie London. I’m sure they’d love to hear your views.

I’m sorry you feel like this I truly am, but I just thought they had been very popular in other blog posts so I used them to. I am honestly so sorry if it has offended you x
