I popped into my local Primark yesterday to see what’s new and i came across these two items in particular. The Galactic Holographic Lipgloss and the PS Pro Long Wear Concealer in the green shade for correcting redness.
This post will be divided into two, reviewing one product today and the next tomorrow. The reason i’m doing this is because i don’t want it to be a long post with loads of reading involved.
Todays review is on the Holographic Lipgloss because it’s damn fine!
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how freaking awesome Primark are at the minute. There makeup is just fab, cheap and worth a try. Yes i will admit some products are hit and miss but i think that’s like every brand really. And for the price i can’t really complain. For these two items i spent £4.00. Thats crazy! The best part is they are fab too.
I was always skeptical about the thought of cheap makeup, fearing the worst like it would bring me out in spots or i’d have a reaction and come out in blisters. I was blown away when i first tried one of their makeup bits a few months back. I’ve never had a problem with them and i can now see why other bloggers preach Primark makeup. Ah i love it!
This lipgloss seriously has me like whaaaa. It’s so pretty, like mermaids and unicorns it’s magical. Yes i really did just compare a lipgloss to mermaid and unicorns, i don’t even care haha. As sad as it sounds the holographic packaging is what really made me want it. I really have a soft spot for shiny, pretty cute packaging, it’s becoming a real problem. I need help..
When worn it feels a little strange to begin with because you can feel the texture of the glitter but it looks beautiful alone or over another lip colour and lasts for hours. I’ve still got mine on and i applied it over 3 hours ago, it’s obviously faded a little but it’s still there.
I reckon this would be great on the cheek bones for a festival too because it would be a lot like the glittery eye gel MAC do, apart from this isn’t as thick and sticky. I seriously have to try this soon, i’m intrigued by my own suggestion heh!
For £2.00 i’ve not got a single bad thing to say other than the bumpy texture. Lipgloss isn’t something i usually go for because i prefer matte textures so it does feel strange and sticky for me.
I think it’s a festival / party must have. It’s great for adding that bit of sparkle into your life and making yourself even more gorgeous.
Talk to me guys, what’s your thought on Primark makeup?!
