The hunt for the perfect affordable contour palette
We all love Contour queens that slay Instagram having perfectly chiselled cheeks and prominent features. It’s makeup goals at its finest. So when it comes to buying the perfect palette for that gorgeous look it has to be one you love and works great for you. I spend so much time hunting for the perfect contour palette. I’ve used powder and yeah it’s great but i seem to be drawn in by creams lately. The powder palette i use is the one by Anastasia Beverly hills. I’ve used the L.A girl concealers too. Both products are great. But now i’m on the quest for new palettes. Cream palettes.
I was going to splurge and buy the ABH cream contour kit but i couldn’t justify it. Thats when the hunt for a perfect dupe began. I’d heard a lot of fab reviews on the makeup revolutions version and had to get my hands on it. It was so affordable i could actually start dancing. It was only £8, Yes you heard right! You really can’t go wrong at that price. Okay so heres the lowdown. This product was AMAZING. I’m not over exaggerating i loved it. They go from cream to powder once applied which eliminates oily shine. The texture is so soft and creamy; it doesn’t feel caky at all. It looks flawless. You also get a highlight shade which is gorgeous on the nose and cheekbones. It glides onto the skin and blends perfectly. You don’t find yourself rubbing and rubbing and not getting anywhere but only achieving a red blotchy face. I blended with the makeup revolution contour brushes. Again they’re super affordable and great quality (Check them out over at Superdrug)
I feel like the hunt was short and sweet. I will try other products at some point but i currently love this one and will highly likely use most days. It’s so easy to use and I found it really quick to apply. If your beginning to contour and need to practice more than anything I defiantly recommend trying this, you can’t go wrong and it’s cheap.
Let me know what your fave kit is and what you think of this one.
Lots of love
