Hello Hair Mask, Hello Hydration!

August 26, 2016

I’m one of those people who don’t take enough care of their hair. Yes I wash it every day with shampoo and conditioner but that’s pretty much the basics right? I don’t use heat protection spray or any hair treatments such as oils and masks because I’ve never really felt the need to. Until lately that is. I’ve been noticing in my photos that my hair is pretty limp, dull and just doesn’t look very well looked after. So when Hello Hair got in contact with me recently to review on of their hair masks I was so up for it. After the realisation my hair needs that little something to give it some oomph I couldn’t possibly say no.

Hello hair is actually an Australian brand but they post to the UK too. The fact it comes from Australia kind of makes me think oooh wow, it’s gonna be amazing. I feel kinda like a beach babe with hydrated locks. I’m strange like that I guess.

The mask took about 2 weeks to arrive which I thought was pretty quick seeing as you know, it has come from the other side of the world. I’ve had some packages that have taken like 4 weeks, crazy. I already had a good feeling about this product and I was keen to get using it. The packaging was super simple and cute I thought. I’ve seen re usable festival drink bottles that have the same kinda packaging, I really like it. It’s minimal yet stylish.

The mask is 100% natural which is always fantastic. It means there is no harsh chemicals that will just damage your hair even more. I think sometimes it’s nice to step away from the chemicals we use everyday without knowing. Say if we dye our hair or use hairspray etc. Detox is always good.

It contains coconut oil, almond oil, argon oil, olive oil, olive leaf extract and castor oil. That’s literally it. And oils are always super beneficial, especially to dry hair like mine! Absolute nightmare when your hairs so dry after showering it actually hurts to brush. Even after conditioner in my case.

It smells sooo divine, so tropical. Like coconuts! Mmmm. I tend to apply it before I get in the shower because it can stay on for up to 30 minutes although if I feel like just chilling I apply in the shower and just relax. I have pretty long showers sometimes, I think it’s the perfect way to de stress. Like literally washing your troubles away, perfect.

Basically, this mask is super hydrating. Leaves my hair feeling super soft and nourished and looking lovely. I’d defiantly buy this again, it’s so much better than the shop bought ones I’ve used in the past. (Stealing my mums so to speak when I lived at home)

Now I’ve began to give my hair some more tlc and attention I can notice the importance of looking after your locks. Sometimes just like your face or skin, your hair just needs a pamper.

A x

Maintaining your hair is super important, we don’t normally realise how much we damage it every day! I love using overnight hair masks like the Percy and Reed one, or even keeping general hair oil overnight too. It’s good to do when you want to skip conditioner in the morning! I’ve just followed your blog, and I would love if you could take a peak at mine on bloglovin > http://bit.ly/1GRfbx4
