Christmas Day Makeup

Hey my loves!

Christmas is only 6 days away and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m literally in full blown festive mode, I cannot wait!

Today’s post is a glam makeup look I would wear Christmas Day or to a Christmas work party. Now I know I haven’t gone for a red lip and I kinda wish I did but I’m thinking outside the box and going for something different.

I primed my face using the Yves saint Laurent Touch Eclat Blur primer which I still love so much, it is my go to primer at the moment. I love how silky smooth it makes my skin feel.

It’s gonna come as a massive surprise but I actually used only Primark foundations for this look. I started with the liquid foundation which had a semi matte finish and cost me like £3 or £4 i think. It’s cheap as chips and has fab coverage. I think used the foundation stick which costs like £4 as a concealer over my blemishes. Again it has fab coverage and i seriously love it.

I concealed my under eyes using the Essence 16 hour concealer which again is cheap yet amazing. It costs £2.50 and the coverage is sooo good.

I set my foundation using the Too Faced Amazing Face powder which I’m nearly out of now, sigh

To contour I used the trusty Benefit Hoola Bronzer which I’ve hit pan on and it makes me want to cry. It’s literally all I use.

Since breaking my Mary Lou-manizer highlighter (saddest day of my life) I’ve gone back to using the Mac highlighter in the shade Soft and Gentle. I do love it but it’s just not the same!

Going on to my brows, I used the ABH Dipbrow Pomade as per usual, that part of my routine literally never changes, ever.

For eyeshadow I used the Mac Burgandy Times 9 Palette. Using about 4 shades. The dark Burgandy colour, the dark purple, the black and the shimmery colour. Apologies for my not so fab explanation!

When I use the shimmery shade I always wet my brush for a more pigmented colour.

I applied a coat of the Seventeen long Lash Mascara before applying some Ardell false lashes. I can’t remember the name. They were old ones from my college kit because I rarely wear falsies, I find them impossible to apply. To make it easier I cut them in half, seriously though it’s a game changer!

For lipstick I used the New Look Matte lippy in the shade Mocha.

And voila! My finished look! I hope you like it, make sure to let me know what you think!

P.s don’t forget to follow!
