A few days ago i picked up a Marie Claire magazine which had a free sample of the new Benefit Ready Set Brow Gel. Okay so i promise i didn’t only buy the magazine to get the freebie, okay maybe a little bit but i do love reading a magazine outside in the sunshine. When there is a little bit of sun that is.
This products is designed to give 24 hour invisible shaping and setting. It’s one of the new goodies from their new brow range which is just beautiful. Personally i wouldn’t know if it lasts 24 hours because i never leave my makeup on for that long. I put it on in the morning and take it off in the night. That’s no more than 12 hours. To buy the full sized product it costs £18.50.
I absolutely love to set my brows ones i’ve shaped and filled them in, it’s like a ritual for me. I just always have to do it. Before this i was using a clear gel by Collection 2000 which i thinks okay but makes my brows go really hard and funny. It is a clear mascara so maybe that’s why, oops.
The main thing i love about this is the brush. It isn’t like a thick spoolie you’d usually get but instead a thinner plastic one. It makes it so more more precise and easy to apply. Too much product doesn’t go onto it either because there is nothing worse than doing your brows fab and on fleek then ruining them by adding a clump of gel which just smudges them. Not cool.
Going back to the being left with hard brows topic, i find that this one doesn’t do that so much. It’s a lot easier to take off and feels natural not sticky or dried up. It does make the little hairs at the front stand up nicely and the rest tamed and in place. As for duration, i’d say it does last a long time but i’m not so sure it would last 24 hours. I’ve not tried so i can’t say it defiantly won’t.
All in all this is a fab product, a great tester and i’d totally buy the full sized product again. The design of it is pretty cute too, in fact the whole range is darn cute. Gimme gimme. Oh and the magazine is a pretty good read this issue too! Thanks Marie Claire!
