All About That Base

So today i thought, hey! Why don’t i share with you guys my little stash of primers. So here we go gorgeous!

Smashbox hydrating primer

I think this is the most hydrating primer ever. It is pretty moisturising. I was recommended by someone and decided to buy it. It was the first mid – high range product i’d ever bought, primer wise that is. It’s really refreshing and is amazing for dry skin.

Mac Strobe Cream

Okay, i don’t really think this is a ‘primer’ It’s a strobe cream but hey it really does work for me. It’s basically a moisturiser but it makes makeup glow with a perfect dewy complexion. This is the mini version which is £10, i would defiantly buy the full size. It feels amazing and ahhh, it’s just perfect okay.

Benefit That Gal Brightening Primer

I have a mini travel size of this and i am so considering buying the full size once i’ve used it up. It’s like a moisturiser personally. It does what it says on the tin, brightens and just gives that glowing look. I couldn’t fault it to be perfectly honest. I like that it’s a pink colour. Ahhhh it’s just so prettyyy.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Primer

Okay, this primers pretty expensive. It costs around £30. I haven’t used this primer loads and loads because i just seem to reach for the others. Texture wise it feels a lot like the porefessional. Ya know, that velvety kind of feeling. It has little gold flecks in which really amazed me, hence i bought it heh heh. But don’t worry it doesn’t come up on your skin, kinda magic!

Marc Jacobs Under(cover) Primer

Where do i even start with this beauty, IT’S THE BEST THING EVER. But also pretty pricey. It’s like £30 or something like that which is pretty steep for some (Me including), let’s be honest. Living in the UK means it’s a little harder to find. Mine was bought on the Harrods website. If you wanna splurge and treat yourself then this bad boy is the one. It’s like, my most luxurious primer and i love how hydrating it is. Out of all my primers this is the beauty i use the most.

Benefit Porefessional

This primer is like, amazing. I’ve only ever used mini versions but i would so buy the full size product. It’s really velvety and a skin tone colour. It will banish pores and smooth out your complexion. I only apply to my t zone because that’s where my makeup tends to come off and get shiny.

Collection 2000 Primed And Ready Reviving & Anti-fatigue Illuminating Primer

That is quite a long name haha, whether i needed to write it all or not i’m not sure. Have i just wasted 5 minutes of my life writing a long as name? Highly likely. But anyway, this is the cheapest primer EVER. I payed £4.99 at boots, yeah you heard that right. Bargain alert! Also a perfect dupe for the Benefit That Gal Primer. They’re pretty similar not gonna lie. Same kind of texture, colour the lot! Take my advice and try it!

And That is it! My little (ish) stash of primers. Pretty please share with me your faves! If you liked this post then show some love beautiful by commenting, liking and subscribing!

Lots of Love,

A x

Love the Porefessional! It’s funny how once you try a primer, you can’t go back to not using them!

I am going to tattoo the Marc Jacobs primer on my arm as a reminder to go to Sephora and pick it up! I have always heard such great thanks, and I am definitely in need of a new primer. I had a sample of it whenever I was buying my foundation, but I lost it on the way home, haha. I am going to have to try a ton of these! They all look so great, haha. Great post!

I really want to try the “that gal” primer! I’ve been wanting a primer that has more glow and is a little less mattifying!

The porefessinal is a godsend! The smash box disappointed me because it didn’t work for me… I am very intrigued about the Marc Jacobs, but for £30 that is quite a lot. Whether to take the plunge or not 😂😂 great post xx

  10. Gini April 29, 2016 / 3:12 pm

Could rate them in order of how they helped your make up last longer, please? This post came into my life at the exact right point as I’m debating which one to get next and you reviewed all the ones I was considering, haha! Fab post

    • Littlebeautyblogxo April 29, 2016 / 3:58 pm

Okay, so the professional has to be the best for long long lasting makeup, then the marc jacobs one which yeah i would of thought would be the best. Then i’d say the smash box primer, benefit that gal primer, collection 2000 primer and then the Mac strobe cream because obviously it’s job is to make makeup last. Xo

Thanks! I really really want that darn Marc Jacobs now 😂 thanks!

I love the Marc Jacobs! It is so incredible, honestly I feel like it is more of a moisturizer than a primer but I am crazy for it! The benefit is great too, but again I think I love it more for the small and texture rather than filling in pores😍😍
