Todays post isn’t meant to go up until tomorrow but i have so many exciting posts lined up, i’m doing them more frequent!
So, let’s talk makeup brushes. They are the framing of our makeup. Quite a big deal for getting a flawless face. Now i’m all about a good steal. No, not as in theft but getting the best product at the best price. Maybe i should have re-worded that..
But anyways, makeup brushes. There’s one brand that i am so into right now and that’s Jessup. The price for these beauties is just crazy. Uh huh, that’s what i’m talking about, great brushes, great price and great makeup. Winning!
*Disclaimer* – Jessup kindly send me this set to try, review and tell you guys what i think. Again, these are my honest opinions. These lips don’t lie gurl! I love collaborations but with brands i like, love and know a bit about. Never will you see me doing a collaboration with a brand i’m not keen on, don’t like the sound of or know nothing about. I do my research, check their products and if they aren’t right for me i say no. I’ve turned down a few brands in the past because i haven’t been keen on their site, products or concept. Not to be offensive but because i can’t write a good post on a brand i don’t like.
If this post sounds like your cup of tea then keep on reading!
The reason i love this set is because it has a wide selection of face brushes. All different shapes and sizes! They are perfect dupes for the Sigma range and work just aswell. My Sigma F80 Flat top kabuki brush is like, my life. I use it pretty much everyday. So to try these was quite refreshing.
The eye brushes are something I’m not sure i know how to use. I have like one blending brush i use for everything, bad i know but hey, guilty as charged. As you can see i had already used two before photographing, i wanted to photograph when they were completely new, sigh.
Everyone has different wants for a makeup brush. Some like them to be soft, fluffy and light and others like them to be more dense, harder and thicker. I would say these brushes are super soft, quite fluffy and not as solid. But that’s how i like them at the minute. I guess that will change the more i use them, they’ll start to feel more used if you know what i mean??
If i was to pick one of these brushes as my ultimate fave outta the whole lot, it would have to be the tapered kabuki brush. I think the shape makes it absolutely perfect for in those smaller areas like under the eyes and around the nose. I also used it to set my concealer, it works pretty well for that too!
Over at http://www.jessupbeauty.com these brushes are priced at $18.83 which in GBP is around £13. I’m pretty impressed at that price for 10 brushes. In fact i think it’s an amazing price. You really can’t go wrong. When you click on the item you’re transferred to Aliexpress but let me say, eBay also stock these brushes so it depends on your preference. I know these are quite popular on Ebay, i always see them when i’m having a browse. There is free shipping on Aliexpress which is great if you don’t wanna pay custom fee’s because they do come from Hong Kong, but surprisingly quick. I was V V impressed.
Make sure to let me know what you think of these brushes and if you’ve ever tried them. I think it’s great to hear more than one persons opinion because we are all different and things that work great for me, might not necessarily be your cup of tea.
Lot’s of love
